Inclusive’ holiday in Egypt

Just come back from a wonderful ‘All Inclusive’ holiday in Egypt which I would have no problem in recommending to others!  We stayed in a hotel called the Three Corners St. George that laid on all our food and drink for us and was situated in the hub of the Red Sea’s premier resort of Sharm el Sheikh.  We went in early June and were greeted by lush conditions with temperatures a far cry from the mixed bag of rain and general misery that is our not so lovely British weather - It was the perfect retort for all the predictably unpredictable weather we all know so well!We wanted to enjoy a relaxing break to recharge the batteries, but also to try to do it on a budget as money was tighter than in previous years.  With the experience of recent holidays still fresh in our minds, where we managed to spend a lot of money on holiday for meals and drinks etc because we were either on a ‘Self Catering’ or ‘Bed and Breakfast’ board basis, we decided that if we could get an ‘All Inclusive’ deal this time around for not much money then we’d give it a try.

Looking back now I’m so glad we made that decision.  The upgrade to an ‘All Inclusive’ package ended up costing us about an extra £100 or so each up front, but considering its extra value the upgrade ended up paying for itself handsomely in the long run.  As an example of how cost-effective it was you only have to look as far as Sharm el Sheikh itself, where an alcoholic drink in the main Na’ama Bay area averaged out at around £6 each, meaning that the upgrade soon paid for itself.Along with having all of our drinks, meals and snacks taken care of, the hotel had an excellent array of facilities including two swimming pools (one of which had a swim up bar!) and its own private beach club complete with a bar and terraced restaurant.  Although the hotel was located 10 minutes away from the private beach there was a complimentary shuttle bus service to and from it and the hotel was also well located for easy access into the old town and the bright lights of Na’ama Bay.The hotel staff really made the holiday special too; from our room cleaner Arafa (who made towel art to put on our beds for when we returned to our room each night) to Hani and Atef the very entertaining bar staff and the hotel manager Michael, who was very attentive, they were absolutely superb.  Overall, the holiday was very relaxed and stress-free because everything was taken care of and I certainly wouldn’t hesitate to go on an ‘All Inclusive’ package again next time.By Ben Charlton.

The Sunset from Naama Bay

Me and my friend went to Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt for 10 days at the start of December and despite a few negatives, we absolutely loved it!!! The flight was fairly decent but we are both nearly 6ft and by the time we landed we were ready to stretch our legs. We climbed on the mini bus and before I was even sat down properly we were getting back off and stepping into our hotel reception area. It was less than 5 minute transfer! Bonus! We stayed in the Park Inn in Nabq Bay and we heard some people say it was too far out and not close enough to the beach. I personally am not of the same view!!! It was over a busy road and through a hotel complex to the beach but the hotel put a little bus thing on for you to take you down to the beach and pick you up when you are done!!!!So, we got to the hotel, unpacked and went for our evening meal.

The meal was fine, very hot and plenty of choice. We ate, had a few drinks then slept like a baby after a long day of travelling! The next morning we woke up and went for breakfast. Breakfast in this hotel was by far my favourite meal of the day. The omelette station was perfect and cooked up all varieties of omelette to your taste! To be fair the breakfast was yummy! Lots of variety and it was all fresh! Even though we had eaten a hearty breakfast, we still forced lunch down because we were all inclusive and we wanted our monies worth! The same theory applied to the cocktail menu! We started early and finished late to make sure we got through the whole menu! Unlike other hotels, cocktails are part of your all inclusive and the Pina Colada comes highly recommended!!!MmmmmmmmmmmWe went into Naama bay during the day for a bit of shopping and to be fair this is were the negatives of Sharm became apparent. We were asked to go into 1 shop and sign the guest book and have peppermint tea with them and they were lovely. They wouldn’t let us buy anything till the next day so we could try the perfume and see for ourselves the quality and they gave us each a gift and thanked us for our time. The rest of the shops we visited we were facing the hard sell! Its tough going at first but the sooner you realise a firm yet polite no and keep on walking is the only way you’ll survive a day shopping in Egypt! There are some really nice souvenirs you can buy so please don’t be put off by this. Sharm El Sheikh Holidays are no worse than say Turkey for people trying to sell you stuff.I have never been a good swimmer so the idea of diving or snorkelling is the last thing on my mind when I am on holiday. My friend convinced me to give it a go and I must say I am so glad I tried it. The coral reef off the coast of Sharm El Sheik in the Red Sea is amazing. We went on the Garden Reef excursion booked through our rep and we set off around 8am. All the food and drink was included but they won’t let you snorkel if you get drunk!!! We did 3 stop off’s, shown the basics and the 3 guys were fantastic. We had under water cameras and the guy took mine to the bottom and got a fantastic picture of a sting ray on the sea bed! Diving is meant to be amazing but I wasn’t confident enough to try it!My Sting Ray Pic!!!!Holidays to Egypt are so unique in the sense that you can visit the hustle and bustle of market life, the ancient history of the Pyramids or kick back with a cocktail in a lush hotel and watch the world go by! I personally can’t wait to go back. 10 days was not enough! Hot weather, friendly people and gorgeous food is most people’s idea of a good holiday! Top this up with the culture and history on offer makes holidays in Sharm El Sheikh a winner!By Sam C

Egypt Holidays

BlogI stayed in the Holiday Village Red Sea for two weeks , it was that fantastic i am already booked for Oc  Me and my family flew out of Manchester on a First Choice flight that was perfect, my mother is a very nervous flyer and this is the first time she has ever relaxed on a plane, it was so comfortable and the crew were amazing.  On arrival at the hotel we were greeted by the manager with wine and juice which i thougth was a lovely touch and the check in procedure was so quick even though there were two coach loads of guests arriving at once.We were shown to our rooms and our luggage was brough to us shortly after, the rooms were enourmous and even had lit up walk in wardrobes.  The whole of the holiday village was truly exceptional and the grounds were beautiful, all gardens and flowers.  There were a number of different pools each of which were great and there was always a pool boy around to make sure you could get a sunbed.

The hotel has a policy where if you’re not by your lounger at certain times they are taken off you which is great as it stops people getting up at the crack of dawn to save sunbeds even when they’re out for the day!.  The entertainment team at the Holiday Village Egypt are fantastic and so enthusiastic day and night, childrens club was great and my daughter made many new friends which made the holdiay even more enjoyable for me.  As the hotel was unfaultable most of our time in Egypt was spent here although we did go into Naama Bay one evening.  The journey to Naama was about 30mins by private taxi provided by the hotel and was well worth it.Naama Bay has a buzzing atmosphere and is a great mixture of people from around the world.  There is a vast choice of eateries here ranging from tradtitional Egyption to Hard Rock Cafe and Mc. Donalds.  Make sure you take your purse with you as there are some fabulous bargains to be had, i brought back 5 handbags and an array of gifts for family and friends beacuse the locals were so friendly and i was able to haggle down to unbeleivable prices.  I really can’t wait to get on my holidays to Sharm el Sheikh in 2009 and feel the dazzling sunshine on my skin, swim in the clear waters and soak up the hospitality.  I would deffinately recommend Egypt and the Holiday Village Red Sea to anyone.

Travel Tips for India

Travel Tales from AsiaIndia is a country of contrasts. On the one hand you have a country which is home to some of the world’s most beautiful monuments: the Taj Mahal, Red Fort, Aga Khan Palace and Gandhi National Memorial, and the Gateway of India. On the other hand it features in the news for all the wrong reasons: armed robbery, kidnapping, extortion and terrorism-related incidents. I was never very keen on visiting India, but seeing the tourist attractions appealed to me.I did overcome my fears and eventually I organised my holidays in Delhi.

My conclusion is that you will either love it or hate it. I loved it….and so I have compiled some tips to help you enjoy your stay in India.Book your flights early. Long-haul flights are expensive if you leave it to the last minute. I flew direct with Continental Airlines – it was the only company I could find which didn’t have stopovers. Flight time New York – Delhi was about 14 hours.Take photocopies of all your documentation: passport, airline tickets and Indian visa.Organise vaccinations which you may need before going on holiday. Bear in mind that you may need to get them 6 months before travelling. Check with your GP.Don’t accept drinks or food in the street or when taking public transport as it may be drugged. It is not a good idea to travel alone, especially if you are a female traveller.Carry cash or travellers cheques in case your card gets swallowed by the ATM or the machine itself doesn’t work.Never set off without a good travel insurance.Beware of scammers. Many locals will try to get you to buy something which looks expensive, but isn’t.If you are paying by debit or credit card, make sure you insist that the transaction is carried out at the shop counter.Do not be afraid of traveling to India. I had a fantastic time in Goa and really recommend it.

Travel Tips for Bangkok | Travel Tales from Asia

Bangkok is an increasingly popular tourist destination in Thailand and it has reason for this. Not only is it referred to as Venice of the East, but it has lots of different scents and smells and it is completely different from any country you will ever visit. Bangkok is big, bold and beautiful.Last year I reluctantly decided to travel to Bangkok. It had never been a destination which appealed to me, but I ended up going with a friend. Yes, there is a lot of noise, pollution and I did feel a bit unsafe at times. However, there is a magical side to Bangkok that I fell in love with. I had never been to Asia and now that I have tried it, I want to travel more.

Bangkok has all the great tourist attractions you would expect to see…..lush gardens, temples, shrines and all in the middle of an urban jungle. All I can say is go. But here are some of my dos and don’ts.Do……….book your flights in advanceBangkok is a popular destination so make sure you get your airline tickets in advance to avoid paying high fares. Airlines such as British Airways and Delta Air Lines operate to the main airport serving the city – Suvarnabhumi Airport.travel between November and MarchIf you want to experience the best weather for sightseeing, travel to Bangkok between November and March. However, this is the high-season, so hotels may be more expensive.get vaccinations before you goMake sure you visit your doctor (I would recommend at least 3 months before you travel) just in case you need to get a vaccination before you travel. I got the Hepatitis A jab.Don’t……….Perhaps not many people will agree with me. But I would recommend that females don’t travel alone in Bangkok, especially at night. They say that Bangkok is a safe city. Keep your wits about you and be careful…remember that tourists are easy targets.Make sure you respect customs in this country…for example, it is offensive to show affection to your loved one or even a friend in public in Thailand. You should also have respect for sacred places and don’t be too noisy.

Travel Tips for Asia | Travel Tales from AsiaI

Is impossible to give tips for travel to Asia in one single article, so if required we will continue this article in several series. Today Asia is one of the fastest growing continent and hence traveling from Europe & America all the way down to Asia is not a problem as all major airlines do cover this region extensively. In this particular article we will cover countries within the Indian Sub-continent viz – India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Maldives & Myanmar and discuss about which of these countries is tourist friendly and what to expect and what not to expect.Starting with India, the largest country in the Indian Sub-continent is a popular tourist destination due to its rich and varied culture. They say that you can’t finish exploring India in one life, and that’s indeed true. India has about 32 states and each of those states has its own state language apart from the national language Hindi. Every state has its own cuisine and different style of dressing. Major tourist attracting destinations in India are dessert palaces in Rajasthan specifically those of Udaipur, Jodhpur and Jaipur. Places like Leh, Ladakh, Kullu, Manali, Shimla, Haridwar & Rishikesh are well known destinations which lie around the Himalayan ranges. Goa & Mumbai are equally interesting destinations on the west coast. State of Kerala, Tamilnadu & Karnataka are full of natural and architectural wonders. On the other hand countries like Bhutan, Sri Lanka & Nepal are geographically small but in terms of natural beauty, there is no limit. SriLanka is abundant with Tea Estates & Coffee Plantations. There are multiple virgin beaches on the coast of SriLanka and there is much more to explore in Sri Lanka than just visiting Candy and Colombo. Similarly, Bhutan is an untouched paradise and thanks to its rulers and citizens they have well preserved green regions. Modernization has not hampered the natural beauty of this country and the citizens themselves are proud of their natural beauty. In the same region, Nepal is well know to all mountaineers as access to Mt. Everest is through Nepal. Nepali culture, cuisine & rituals have a lot of influence from those in India. These days all major European airlines do reach Kathmandu in Nepal and Colombo in Sri Lanka. If you are not able to find the right connection to these destinations then try reaching India as several Indian private airlines fly to these countries.

Most of the countries in the Indian subcontinent have good internet connectivity and telecommunication infrastructure. These days making international phone calls to and from these countries is not expensive. As a traveler you can also buy a local SIM card, but that’s going to be a little expensive. Most hotels have internet connectivity and have desktops with popular voice over internet applications pre-installed.Before traveling to Asia, make sure you read about the popular dishes in regions you plan to visit. For example, if you are flying down to Sri Lanka then be prepared to enjoy various rice preparations. While traveling to India, make sure you enjoy spicy Indian curries and bread. Not all regions in India serve spicy food, but if this is your first time to India then tell the hotel attendant to serve you less spicy food. This article is first from our Travel to Asia series, and in the next article will focus on major tourist attractions and not to miss places in this region.

Magnificence is an all inclusive idea that is difficult to characterize,

yet is comprehended by allMagnificence is an all inclusive idea that is difficult to characterize, yet is comprehended by all. In numerous social orders, physical excellence is seen to have adequate standards however some of these standards vary between societies. We may experience considerable difficulties clarify when we are asked what is delightful to us. On the other hand, if we somehow happened to call attention to a lovely lady in a gathering, men and ladies do it effortlessly and normally. As the platitude goes, with regards to awesome excellence, we will know it when we see it.Not everybody respects magnificence the same way, however. Excellence is a subjective affair. It includes the singular’s sentiment fascination and passionate prosperity. We frequently hear the truism, as society forces its general desire on ladies’ magnificence, excellence advances into a typical desire and a standard examination between ladies. So what is a “standard” meaning of magnificence then? My best figure is, if we somehow happened to discuss ladies, it is the physical qualities that she has. It is the capacity of the lady to give out serious delight or profound fulfillment to the viewer’s detects. The admirer’s sure sentiment delight or goodness is generally gotten from the lady’s body shape, garments that she wears or how appealing her facial elementary are, amongst others.Be that as it may, excellence can likewise be about the lady’s identity. It is about having sympathy for and helping other people, a comfort in times of dire need, regarding others, regarding herself, venture thoughtfulness to human and creatures alike, adoring others and obviously, cherishing herself. This is depicted as internal magnificence which comes to fruition from having the right measurement of self-assurance and a sound self-regard.

While this is not more often than not the first thing that rings a bell when we discuss magnificence, inward excellence plays pretty much as an imperative part in how wonderful a man seems, by all accounts, to be. Perhaps more so than external magnificence does.Inward magnificence isn’t anything that worse individuate speak to our self to feel better. Internal magnificence can be pretty much as, if not additionally enamoring as the outer appearance can be. Inward excellence may be depicted as something that is experienced through a man’s character as opposed to by appearances. It is the genuine magnificence of a man that goes a long ways past simply physical appearances. It is a lady’s inward conviction that they are alluring that makes them all the more engaging others. The sparkle of certainty and physical allure originates from the inside of her. Probably the most fancied identities are not by any stretch of the imagination physically appealing yet their gleaming certainty and self-conviction makes them alluring to each individual from the inverse sexual orientation. Initial introductions don’t generally rely on upon our physical make-up or our facial easily. We ought to trust that it start from the inside of our self. That is the place our actual magnificence lies. When we begin a discussion, individuals will at first evaluate us; as charming or not really wonderful. As the discussion goes on, individuals will begin to get the decent qualities and attributes radiating from us, and individuals will then begin to discover us more excellent or enchanting. When we adore, acknowledge and like our self, we would feel more sure about confronting and associating with others. External excellence draws in looks while inward magnificence makes somebody sit tight. This is the key to a solid self-regard. Actually, we will see a man’s physical appearance first. On the other hand, when a lady has splendid eyes that glint, a grin that warms the heart, a brilliant shine that encompasses her when she strolls into a room; she has clearly saddled her inward excellence. The best a portion of inward excellence is the way that not at all like our outward appearance, internal magnificence does not wrinkle, dark or reduce with age. It will just transmit more grounded as we develop it.Photo Credit:
